Low BTU Burners

steam1

Hamworthy Peabody Combustion has the most comprehensive and wide ranging experience / technology in firing low BTU fuels for boiler applications in the world. The basis for the HPC low BTU burner is our STABLEflame technology, which allows for efficient combustion of the low BTU fuel while utilizing little or no support fuel.

Key features:

  • Proven low BTU gas burner = efficient combustion and low maintenance
  • Capable of firing up to five dissimilar fuels simultaneously, including blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, natural gas, fuel oil, opportunity fuels and solid fuels
  • Low BTU fuel scroll is the most technologically efficient design in the market
  • Low NOx design for all fuels
  • Minimal, or no, support fuel with full flame stability

Benefits:

utility_5

  • Multiple fuel capability (BFG, NG, COG, OIL, opportunity fuels)
  • Constant velocity scroll
  • Large gas discharge orifices for high particulate fuel
  • Swirl stabilized
  • Low maintenance
  • Ability to provide COG or opportunity fuel ignitors

Applications

  • Packaged boilers
  • Wall-fired, multi-burner boilers
  • Tangentially-fired boilers
  • Air heaters, dryers, duct burners.
